Hi Testing testing is there anybody out there? Just checking that my writing will be avaailable for the whole world to read. This is the storm before the calm as final bags are packed, ipods uploaded and clothes ironed. All going to plan and the excitement at returning to Thailand after 14 years since leaving is rising again. Budget up to date which means we will be comfortable during trip. Also really pleased to hear from Mairah who is a Karen refugee from Burma that I worked with closely to fulfill the Oxfam order in the 90's. She emailed to say hello and say how much she is looking forward to seeing her again. The plan is to go to the largest refugee camp on the Thai border - home to over 45,000 refugees and displaced people. Mairah lives there and has done for over two decades. Until hundreds of thousands of people like here can go home then Burma will never really be free.
